Why did you get involved in a campaign to embarrass Wesley publicly and ‘bring him down’?

Because Russell had convinced me into believing that Wesley had orchestrated a crypto scam for millions of dollars, then mocked his victims. I also believed that Wesley hired thugs to break into Russell’s home. For these reasons, I felt that Wesley needed to be publicly exposed and held accountable.

Why did you and Wesley have a grudge against each other?

For personal reasons that are not relevant to this matter.

Why did you fabricate a false story about Wesley perpetrating a crypto scam?

I did not. Russell did, and later tried to pin it on me in order to extort me.

Why did you hire Russell to destroy Wesley’s reputation with false accusations?

I did not. I believed that Russell’s allegations were true. I also believed that he had incurred significant expenses in conducting his own investigation into the crypto scam, and therefore agreed to support his campaign to expose Wesley. I would not have supported him if I knew that the allegations were false - and I stated this clearly to him.

Why did you send Russell GBP 30,000?

The GBP 30,000 was not payment for Russell creating the website. Rather, Russell had convinced me that he was being pursued by thugs, and that there was an imminent threat to his physical safety. He claimed that the only way to stop Wesley was to obtain evidence that Wesley had committed immigration fraud, and that the person who had this evidence needed to be paid for it. This is why I sent him the money.

Why didn’t you do a background check on Russell?

Russell remained anonymous for a long time. After I discovered his identity, I saw that his digital footprint checked out, and I was satisfied with the ‘evidence’ that he had presented. I did not know that they were all forgeries.

How do you know that Russell’s true identity is that of Wasil Thamer?

I hired private investigators to look into him after I discovered that I had been scammed.

How did you Russell to admit that he had scammed you?

Both Wesley and I worked together to lead Russell on. Both of us played along with his scam attempts, and acted like there was an opportunity to get money from us both. However, we dragged it out. I ignored his repeated blackmail messages, while Wesley kept insisting that he should come to the US. He got frustrated, and he began to make mistakes.

Have you reported Russell to the police?

Yes. The police have been investigating Wasil Thamer since the the beginning of October 2023. Both Wesley and myself are also exploring civil lawsuits against him. Any licensed solicitors in the UK who specialize in defamation law and/or restraining orders can contact us. However, we will not deal with anyone who ‘chooses to remain anonymous’.
